This safari includes Kenya’s most spectacular locations: the beautiful semi-arid wilderness of Samburu National Reserve with its unique dry-country species; the acclaimed Ol Pejeta Conservancy with a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any of Kenya’s national parks; serene Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley with its abundant birdlife and other wildlife; as well as the grasslands of the Masai Mara, renowned for its huge herds of game and large number of predators.
Start your Kenyan safari adventure with a night in vibrant Nairobi, staying at the Sarova Stanley. On Day 2 depart north by road for the Samburu Game Reserve, staying at Ashnil Samburu Camp for 2 nights featuring 30 deluxe tents with perfect views of the Ewaso Nyiro River and beautiful surrounding landscape. Enjoy game drives seeking out elephant, lion, leopard, and endemic species such as gerenuk, beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and Grevy’s zebra.
On Day 4 drive south on a scenic drive towards Mt. Kenya, arriving at Sweetwaters Serena Camp in the world-class Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the afternoon. The camp features 39 tents with thatched roofs and each with its own private veranda overlooking the water hole. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy program, the conservancy boasts an abundance of wildlife, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya.
Following a morning game drive on Day 5, depart south towards the shores of Lake Naivasha to arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort in time for lunch. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake set in the heart of the Great Rift Valley.
On Day 6 drive to Kenya’s most famous game reserve, the Masai Mara where you will spend 2 nights at Ashnil Mara Camp featuring 40 stunning tents located in the Masai Mara Game Reserve and close to the Mara River. Resident game include giraffe, elephant, crocodile, hippo and predators like black-maned lions, cheetah, leopard and hyena.
On Day 8 wake up early for a game drive before departing by road back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at the airport or a city hotel.
