Our India & Subcontinent Highlights

Rajasthan & North India

Romantic Rajasthan, land of the Maharajas, is famous for its rich history and stunning architecture. Discover opulent palaces, intricate temples, lush gardens and imposing fortresses. You can also explore the surrounding desert landscapes by 4WD or attend the vibrant Pushkar Camel Fair.

India wildlife safaris

Wildlife Safaris

Leave the bustle of cities behind and discover India’s wonderful national parks. Take jungle safaris by Jeep in search of the majestic Bengal tiger, Asian elephant, rhino, jackal, langur monkey and many species of bird. You can also cruise the wildlife-rich waterways of Kazaringa National Park and the Sundarbans.

Himalayan Foothills

Himalayan Foothills

North India offers spectacular scenery as well as an array of ancient monuments. The peaks of the Himalayan range form a dramatic backdrop to the lush foothills, where hikers will discover wildflower-filled meadows, rushing streams and cascading waterfalls.

South India & Kerala

South India & Kerala

With its palm-fringed beaches, emerald rice paddies and spice laden air, warm, lush southern India provides fascinating contrast to the north. The best way to travel is by houseboat, along Kerala’s languid backwaters – a maze of canals and rural villages.

Mumbai & Goa

Mumbai & Goa

Mumbai is India’s financial and commercial centre, a combination of grand avenues, colonial buildings and exotic bazaars. It is also home to Bollywood, one of the largest film industries in the world. An hour’s flight south is Goa, whose palm-fringed beaches and Portuguese heritage make it an interesting and peaceful escape from urban life.

Varanasi, Kolkata & The Ganges

Varanasi, Kolkata & The Ganges

The Ganges River is considered sacred by millions of Hindus. Ancient Varanasi is one of the best places in India to observe pilgrims bathing in its waters, offering flowers or performing last rites. Formerly India’s capital, Kolkata sits by the Hooghly River, fed by the Ganges, and retains a treasure trove of colonial architecture.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka

The teardrop-shaped tropical island of Sri Lanka is rich in cultural and archaeological treasures spanning some 2,500 years of history – from the sacred city of Anuradhapura to the lion-shaped rock fortress at Sigiriya. Unbeknownst to many, Sri Lanka also has a wealth of national parks and excellent beaches.

The mountain kingdom of Nepal is culturally rich and extraordinarily beautiful. It boasts 8 of the world’s highest mountains, an amazing seven World Heritage Sites within a 20km radius. Roaming the lush jungle plains of famed Chitwan National Park are Bengal tiger, Asian elephant, one-horned rhino and sloth bear.

What Clients Say

“As a traveller who enjoys both culture & especially adventure, Taj Temples & Tigers not only met but exceeded my expectations. I found India to be a fascinating country of many contrasts and the balance of this tour was just right. The planning by Natural Focus Tours was absolutely impeccable.”
“This particular trip was as smooth as silk, thanks to the efforts put in by Annie, AKA Anne-Marie Zambelli, our larger than life Tour Escort. I was goggle eyed at the level of care she provided, not to mention her first aid kit! It was an absolute joy to be able to sit back and just enjoy the trip without having to worry about any of the details in what is a fairly chaotic country. Suffice to say, thank you Natural Focus for a wonderful experience.”
“Natural Focus organised the holiday for us, nothing was a problem, they gave us excellent advice about where to visit and how long we needed at each destination. It was a fabulous holiday with something for everyone within a short travelling distance. Our guide was with us for the entire trip; he was a delight, with a great sense of humour and an ability to track down anything, especially good food.”

“We would like to thank you ever so much for our stay in Sri Lanka. We ‘old sheilas’ were keen for an independent adventure and were thrilled to make it to the summit at Sigiriya. Your local knowledge and guidance made for a truly memorable trip…”
