Duba Explorer’s Camp

This secluded new camp occupies a 77,000-acre private reserve set amid a classic Okavango Delta landscape of floodplains, forested islands and woodland. With just 5 tented suites, guests at Duba Explorers Camp are assured of very exclusive wildlife encounters.

Elevated on timber plinths, each suite contains a small desk, private veranda and ensuite facilities with twin vanities. Fans and an open floor plan in guestrooms and throughout the main area – comprised of a dining and lounge area – ensure that everybody stays cool throughout the day. At night, a fire pit and hurricane lanterns lend a special ambience to this safari camp.

Things to do at Duba Explorers Camp include morning and late afternoon game drives in open 4X4 vehicles and water-based activities such as river cruises when water levels permit. A diverse range of species ranging from red lechwe, giraffe, elephant , leopard and hippo are commonly sighted, with birders also well-catered for with ‘specials’ including rare Wattled Crane, Pel’s Fishing Owl and Marsh Owl often seen in the area.

Light aircraft transfers to Duba Explorers Camp can be arranged from Maun, Kasane or selected camps in the Delta.
