When to Go
The northern desert region of Chile, one of the driest in the world, is temperate and attractive year round. It is warm during the day, but can be cold at night. Central Chile has a Mediterranean climate, with warm summers and wet, mild winters, and is best visited in the spring or autumn. The southern Patagonian region has a changeable cool and wet climate.

Culture
Chile's diverse and rich culture is influenced by its indigenous groups and European background as much as the physical diversities of the country. Art and literature, Chilean folk music, as well as dance and festivals form a central part of Chile's culture.
