Climate:
Syria's climate is largely affected by the desert, with hot, sunny summers (Jun- Aug) where the temperature can exceed 35°C during the day, but will generally cooler evenings. Winters (Dec-Feb) are cool, particularly along the coast. Snowfall is common in winter on the mountains. Spring and autumn are ideal times to travel with milder temperatures, averaging 22°C during the day.
