EMPERORS PENGUINS
Snow Hill Island & The Peninsula
This voyage on board the icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov visits the Antarctic Peninsula and a remote rookery near Snow Hill Island where 4,000 pairs of Emperor Penguins raise their young each year. Onboard helicopters are used for transfers and sightseeing, and with multiple visits over a number of days there will be plenty of time to observe and photograph these extraordinary penguins. We will walk across ethereal landscapes of sea ice, dotted with the sculptural forms of icebergs which have frozen into the ice.
