Zimbabwe’s wonderful national parks still offer some of the most spectacular gameviewing in Africa. Despite the difficulties the country has experienced in recent years, our ground operators, and all recently returning clients, report that the wildlife is flourishing and the game viewing still magnificent. Game viewing
The dry season (May-Oct) is the best time for game viewing as the bush dries out and game congregates at the waterholes.
Culture
Shona, famous for their stone sculptures and Matabele are the main tribes.
Climate
Moderate climate (22°-29°C) though hotter in the Zambezi Valley and Victoria Falls where temperatures can reach 40°C. The dry season is from May-Oct when almost no rain falls and the days are warm and sunny. Nights can be very cold with sub-zero temperatures from Jun-Aug. Oct is the hottest month. Rain falls in the summer Nov-Mar/Apr) when the bush is lush and green.
